Around 10:15pm Wednesday, October 11th police and first responders were dispatched to a reported single car crash on South Road in Devonshire near the junction with Brighton Hill Road.
The vehicle involved overturned and the driver, believed to be a 64 year old Hamilton parish man, was treated at the scene by EMTs for minor abrasions.
He was then taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for further medical assessment and later discharged.
The Bermuda Police Service is still appealing for witnesses to a firearms incident that took place outside of the Southampton Rangers Sports Club at 8:32pm on Friday night. It appears that two men dressed in dark clothing and travelling on a light-colored motorcycle drove into the Rangers parking lot and opened fire.
As a result, a 36-year-old female and a 33-year-old man were shot, both were conveyed to hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released.
The Bermuda Police Service is holding its ‘Display Day’ from 10am until 3pm today at Police Field in Prospect, Devonshire for members of the public and school children.
Police vehicles are on display and as part of a series of live demonstrations, loud noises will be heard at times.

The witness appeal continues regarding Thursday’s fatal collision involving a car and motorcycle that occurred around 5:48am (September 28th) on Middle Road, Southampton in the area of Five Star Island, claiming the life of 38 year old Kerry Petty.
In particular, the investigating officer would like to speak with a man who apparently witnessed the incident and stopped at the scene.

The motorcyclist involved, believed to be a 38 year Southampton woman, was seriously hurt and rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance – but later succumbed to her injuries.
At last check earlier this morning (September 25th) the 25 year old male motorcyclist from Smith’s parish injured in a collision with an unmarked police car around 2:30pm Tuesday, September 19th at the junction of North Shore Road and My Lord’s Bay Road, Hamilton parish was in stable condition in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.
Witnesses have already come forward regarding this matter and their cooperation is greatly appreciated.
At last check earlier this morning (September 21st) the 25 year old male motorcyclist from Smith’s parish injured in a collision with an unmarked police car around 2:30pm Tuesday, September 19th at the junction of North Shore Road and My Lord’s Bay Road, Hamilton parish remained in critical but stable condition in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.
The investigation into this matter continues, with an appeal for any witnesses that have not already come forward to do so at the earliest opportunity.
A full investigation is underway into the serious collision that occurred around 2:30pm Tuesday at the junction of North Shore Road and My Lord’s Bay Road in Hamilton parish, involving an unmarked police car and a motorcycle.
Both vehicles have been impounded and CCTV footage of the incident is being reviewed as part of the investigation.
At last check earlier this morning (September 20th) the injured motorcyclist, a 25 year old Smith’s parish man, was listed in critical but stable condition in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.
The Bermuda Police Service is aware of a photo circulating on social media that shows an engine block containing a quantity of guns and ammunition.
Apparently it has been suggested that this contraband was discovered in Bermuda.
However, an online image search indicates that the photo is actually from Barbados, after authorities there reportedly seized the items at a Barbados port.
Residents are advised to be vigilant regarding counterfeit U.S. $50 notes bearing serial number MD36441997A.
One of these counterfeit notes was apparently tendered at the RUBiS Causeway Service Station Tuesday evening. A 54 year old Devonshire man has been arrested in connection with that matter and enquiries continue.
Employees are once again advised that if counterfeit cash is detected during a transaction, the member of staff receiving the fake money should hold on to it, note the description of the individual who tendered it and contact police immediately.
