Reported Robbery at Collector’s Hill Esso Service Station

Around 5:30am today (November 27th) police officers responded to a reported robbery at the Collector’s Hill Esso Service Station.

It appears that two suspects, one apparently brandishing a bladed article, accosted staff members as they opened the premises for the day.

One suspect was described as 5 feet 5 inches tall of medium build while the other suspect was described as 5 feet 8 inches tall of slim build.

Community Action Team Crime Prevention Presentation in St. David’s

The Bermuda Police Service (BPS) Community Action Team (CAT) will be hosting a crime prevention presentation from 6:30pm – 7:30pm Tuesday, 28th November 2017 at Clearwater Middle School for residents of St. David’s regarding burglaries.

At the end of the presentation a sign-up sheet will be available for persons interested in receiving a residential security survey and joining or setting up a Neighbourhood Watch Group.

Motorcyclist Injured in Devonshire Crash Stable on a General Ward

Around 12:50pm Wednesday, November 22nd police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle motorcycle crash on Middle Road in Devonshire near the junction with Orange Valley Road.

It appears that the motorcyclist involved, believed to be a 54 year old Hamilton parish man, struck a wall.

He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of his injuries and at last check this morning (November 23rd) was listed in stable condition on a general ward.

Injured Cement Truck Driver Stable on a General Ward

At last check earlier this morning (November 22nd) the 41 year old Southampton man injured when the cement truck he was driving overturned on Seabright Avenue in Paget around 9am Tuesday was recovering in stable condition on a general ward at the hospital.

The damaged cement truck was eventually removed from the scene and roadside barriers were put in place for the safety of motorists traveling along the affected section of Seabright Avenue.

Around 9am today (November 21st) police, Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service and ambulance personnel responded to a report of an overturned cement truck on Seabright Avenue in Paget, near the junction with South Road.

It appears that the driver, believed to be a 41 year old Southampton man, was temporarily trapped in the vehicle before being extracted by police, conscious and breathing.

Injured Motorcyclist Remains Stable in ICU After Ord Road Collision

At last check earlier this morning (November 20th) the 48 year old man believed to be from Warwick hurt when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a parked truck along Ord Road, Warwick near Dunscombe Road around 3pm Thursday, November 16th remained in stable condition in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

Inquiries continue and any witnesses are asked to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 247-1788.

At last check earlier this morning (November 17th) the 48 year old man believed to be from Warwick hurt when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a parked truck along Ord Road, Warwick near Dunscombe Road around 3pm Thursday was listed in stable condition in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

Inquiries continue and any witnesses are asked to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 247-1788.

Tractor Trailer Driver Treated at Hospital & Discharged

Inquiries continue regarding the tractor trailer crash that occurred around 12:40pm Wednesday, November 15th along Wilkinson Avenue in Hamilton parish near Crystal Caves.

Both the vehicle involved and a wall were damaged in the crash.

The driver, believed to be a 37 year old Warwick man, was treated for minor injuries at the hospital and later discharged.

Incident on Happy Valley Road, Pembroke

Around 8:30am today (Wednesday, November 15th) police, Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service personnel and ambulance personnel responded to a report of a man barricaded inside the old Prison Headquarters building on Happy Valley Road in Pembroke.

Representatives from Government social services also attended the scene.

The man in question, believed to be 68 years old, was apparently in possession of a noxious substance and refused to leave the premises.

Injured 30 Year Old Motorcyclist Now Recovering on General Ward

At last check earlier this morning (November 8th) the 30 year old Pembroke man seriously hurt when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car around 12:10am Saturday, October 14th at the junction of Elliot Street and Union Street in the City of Hamilton had been transferred from the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit to a general ward in stable condition.
