Serious Collision - Around 2:50am on Sunday, January 29th police and first responders attended a reported serious collision on Woodlands Road in Pembroke near the junction with Serpentine Road involving a car and two pedestrians. Details about how the collision occurred are unclear at this time; however, both pedestrians were reportedly seriously injured as a result. The victims, who are apparently twin brothers, were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. At last check one 35 year old Pembroke man was in fair condition in the Intensive Care Unit while the other 35 year old Pembroke man was undergoing surgery.

Missing Juvenile: Leshun Wolffe Found - The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 16 year old Leshun Wolffe. He returned safe and well Sunday afternoon.

Update: Sudden Death - The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 57 year old Michael Wilkinson of St. George’s. It appears that around 11am on Saturday, January 7th a member of the public discovered Mr. Wilkinson’s lifeless body floating in waters near the Swing Bridge in St. George's. He apparently lived on a boat in the area. The Marine Unit and Forensic Support Unit attended the scene and conducted inquiries. As a result, there does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances; however an autopsy is anticipated. The Bermuda Police Service extends condolences to the family & friends of Mr. Wilkinson.

Robbery in Sandys Parish - At 11:30pm on Saturday, November 26th police received a report of a robbery in the Rockywold Drive, Woodlawn Road Sandys parish area. It appears that around 11pm the victim, a 16 year old young man from Southampton was riding his auxiliary cycle along Rockywold Drive when he was accosted by a group of unknown young men. The assailants took the teenager’s auxiliary cycle and Blackberry mobile phone before making good their escape. The victim was treated for a minor injury at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and released. The suspects are described as a group of young men wearing hooded tops.

Robbery in Hamilton Parish - Around 10:20pm on Thursday, November 10th police responded to a reported robbery at a North Shore Road, Hamilton parish grocery store. It appears that a female employee of the grocery store was accosted by two unknown men in the store’s parking lot. The assailants took a quantity of groceries as well as a black & maroon coloured purse containing a mobile phone and personal items before making good their escape. The victim, a 48 year old Hamilton parish woman, was apparently uninjured.

Witness Appeal: Fatal Collision - Police are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to the collision that claimed the life of 21 year old Shayne Adderley which occurred on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Camp Hill around 1:45am Saturday, October 8th. Fifth Road Fatality For 2011 - The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 21 year old Shayne Adderley who succumbed to his injuries after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a taxi on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Camp Hill around 1:45am Saturday. Mr. Adderley was pronounced dead at the hospital at 6:15pm Saturday, October 8th by an on call doctor. The Bermuda Police Service extends condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Adderley. The investigation into this matter is ongoing and any witnesses to this collision are encouraged to contact PC Latoyia Brunson on 295-0011.

Serious Collision in Southampton - Around 1:45am on Saturday, police and first responders attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Camp Hill involving a taxi and a motorcycle. It appears that both vehicles were traveling along Middle Road when they collided. The rider of the motorcycle, a 21 year old St. George’s man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. At last check the victim was in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit. The taxi driver was not injured. Both vehicles were damaged as a result.

Confirmed Firearm Incident in Pembroke - Around 12:45pm on Sunday, police responded to a confirmed firearm incident near the junction of St. Monica’s Road and The Glebe Road in Pembroke. Forensic evidence found in the area suggested that a firearm had been discharged; however no one has reported being injured. An active investigation into this incident is underway.
