Fatal RTC - The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 28 year old Katrina Flood of Pembroke. It appears that around 3:30am Saturday June 5th she was riding a motorcycle traveling east on Crow Lane in Paget near the junction with Corkscrew Hill when she lost control. As a result Ms. Flood sustained serious head and internal injuries. She was pronounced dead at 12:30am Saturday June 12th by an on call physician at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital. The Bermuda Police Service extends condolences to the family & friends of Ms. Flood.
Serious Injury RTC - Around 2:55am today, Police attended a reported serious single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on South Road in Paget near the junction with Point Finger Road. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling along South Road when the male rider lost control and collided with a wall. As a result he sustained a serious injury to his right leg and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. At last check he was in stable condition. Traffic was diverted away from the scene for approximately two hours. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Fatal RTC - The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 27 year old Omar Sutton of Warwick. Around 2:40am on Saturday, Mr. Sutton was riding a motorcycle traveling west on Middle Road in Paget near the junction with Valley Road (in the vicinity of Paget Shell gas station) when he apparently lost control and collided with a BELCO truck traveling in the opposite direction. Mr. Sutton was rushed to KEMH via ambulance but subsequently succumbed to his injuries. He was pronounced dead at 3:13am Saturday by on call physician at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital. The Bermuda Police Service extends condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Sutton.
Injury RTC - Around 1:20pm today, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Middle Road in Paget near the junction with Edgehill Drive involving a motorcycle and a car. It appears that the vehicles were traveling in opposite directions on Middle Road when they collided. The rider of the motorcycle, a 19 year old Warwick man, sustained an injury to his right hand. The driver of the car, a 40 year old Paget woman, was not injured. The motorcycle was extensively damaged while the car received front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Update: Sudden Death - The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 49 year old Frantisek Kiss. Mr. Kiss was found in an unresponsive state inside a Devon Spring Road, Devonshire residence around 11:35am Friday. He was pronounced dead at 12:45pm that day by an on call physician at the scene. The Bermuda Police Service extends condolences to the family & friends of Mr. Kiss. Foul play is not suspected; however an autopsy is anticipated. Inquiries into this matter are ongoing.
Witness Appeal, Fatal RTC - Police are continuing to appear for witnesses to the fatal road traffic collision that occurred around 1:15am Saturday on North Shore Road in Devonshire near the Mid Atlantic Boat Club involving a car and a pedestrian. Details about how the collision occurred remain unclear and the identity of the male pedestrian victim is still unknown at this time. He is described as a dark skinned man of stocky build, approximately 30 – 50 years old, wearing a black hooded jacket, beige/khaki pants and new black & white Adidas sneakers.
Damage Only RTC - At 5:45am on Saturday, Police attended a reported single vehicle damage only road traffic collision at the junction of Middle Road and Harrington Sound Road in Hamilton parish (in the vicinity of Brightside Guest Apartments). It appears that a car was traveling north on Middle Road when the driver, a 25 year old Hamilton parish man, lost control and collided with a wall. As a result the vehicle overturned; however, the driver was not injured. The car was extensively damaged.

Mr. Darrell was riding a motorcycle on Middle Road in Devonshire near the junction with Belvedere Road around 10:35pm Friday when he lost control and collided with a wall. Mr. Darrell sustained serious head, neck and chest injuries and was rushed to KEMH via ambulance; however he subsequently succumbed to his injuries.
Injury RTC - At 9am on Saturday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Middle Road and Vesey Street in Devonshire involving a car an auxiliary cycle. It appears that the auxiliary cycle was traveling east on Middle Road and the car was exiting Vesey Street when the vehicles collided. The rider of the auxiliary cycle, a 16 year old young woman from Pembroke was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment of pain as well as bruising to her shoulders and ribs. The driver of the car, a 28 year old Sandys parish man, was not injured. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Damage Only RTC - At 3:30am on Saturday, Police attended a reported single vehicle damage only road traffic collision on Harrington SoundHarrington Sound Road in Smith’s parish near Harrington Sound Post Office. It appears that a car was traveling west on Road when the driver, a 24 year old Devonshire man, lost control. As a result the vehicle collided with an embankment causing it to overturn. The driver was not injured; however the car was extensively damaged.
