Parsons Road Collision Victims Treated & Discharged From Hospital

Three female pedestrians injured when a truck apparently collided with them as they stood at a bus stop on Parsons Road in Devonshire near the junction with Roberts Avenue around 5:22pm Monday, May 18th were taken to the hospital via ambulance for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The 34 year old Pembroke woman, 7 year old girl and 3 year old girl involved, believed to be a mother and her two daughters, were later discharged.

Traffic Advisory: Bermudiana Road

Motorists are advised that Bermudiana Road, from Gorham Road to the junction with Church Street, is scheduled to be closed to all vehicles for repaving from 6:00am on Wednesday, 20th May until 6:00pm on Friday, 22nd May 2015 by the City of Hamilton.

As a result, traffic travelling north on Bermudiana Road will be diverted onto Gorham Road. Diversion signs and barriers will be in place.

Visitor Injured in Smith's Parish Collision in ICU

A 45 year old Pennsylvania man involved in the road traffic accident that took place on North Shore Road yesterday is listed in serious but stable condition in the ICU and he is expected to be air-ambulanced off island to receive further treatment. The circumstances are as follows: At approximately 5:27 pm, first responders attended a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision that took place on North Shore Road near Police Beach and Jennings Lane in Smiths.

Reported Stolen Vehicle Located

The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating a silver Toyota Rav4 bearing license plate number 19050 reported stolen sometime between 11pm Wednesday, May 6th and 5:15am Thursday, May 7th from outside an Astwood Road, Paget residence.

The vehicle was later found in the area of Tom Moore’s Tavern in Hamilton parish around 9:45pm Thursday and impounded by police as inquiries regarding this matter continue.

Reported Stolen Vehicle Overnight [Located]

Around 5:30am on Thursday, May 7th police received a report of a stolen vehicle.

It appears that a silver Toyota Rav4 bearing license plate number 19050 was removed from outside an Astwood Road, Paget residence sometime between 11pm Wednesday, May 6th and 5:15am Thursday, May 7th.

Man Injured in Marsh Folly Road Disturbance Treated & Discharged

The 26 year old male that appeared to have sustained serious head injuries during an incident that took place in the Marsh Folly Road, Palmetto Road Pembroke area around 2:30pm Tuesday, May 5th was treated at the hospital and has since been discharged.

Details regarding this incident remain somewhat vague and detectives continue their appeal for any witnesses to contact the Criminal Investigations Department on the main police telephone number 295-0011.

Reported Disturbance in Pembroke

A few minutes before 2:30pm police responded to a report of an incident that took place in the Marsh Folly Road, Palmetto Road Pembroke area.

Details surrounding the incident are still sketchy but it appears that four males brandishing a bladed article and a piece of wood attacked a male employee of Works and Engineering who was working on location.

The male victim defended himself resulting in one of the four attackers receiving serious head injuries.

BPS Response to Media Queries Regarding Removal of Bermuda Stone

Commissioner of Police Michael DeSilva - Mr. Keith Masser of the Ministry of Public Works contacted the Bermuda Police Service (BPS) on Monday 13th April and reported that stone had been removed by a contractor without consent from Black Watch Pass over that previous weekend.

He subsequently re-contacted the police later in the day and reported that there might be a misunderstanding as to whether or not the contractor had received permission from the Ministry to remove the stone.

Around 7:40am on Thursday, April 30th police received a report of a stolen vehicle.

It appears that a white Honda CRV bearing license plate number 31893 was removed from outside a Tanglewood Road, Paget residence sometime between 7pm Wednesday, April 29th and 7:30am Thursday, April 30th.

Paget residents are encouraged to attend a ‘Meet Your CAT Officers’ – Police Community Clinic from 12 noon until 4pm on Saturday, 2nd May 2015 at the Rural Hill Plaza (Ice Queen) in Paget hosted by the Central Community Action Team (CCAT).

At the event area residents will have the opportunity to meet their Community Action Team officer(s), discuss any concerns they may have about ongoing anti-social or criminal activity in their neighbourhoods and receive Neighbourhood Watch Group information as well as crime prevention advice and pamphlets.
