Suspected Impaired Driver Arrested After Collision in Devonshire

Around 1:30pm on Saturday, February 21st first responders attended a reported collision on Middle Road in Devonshire near the junction with Hermitage Road.
Details remain limited at this time; however it appears that a truck and possibly two or three other vehicles were involved. The truck ended up colliding with a wall outside the Bermuda Squash Racquets Association.

Around 5:12pm on Friday February 20th police and first responders attended a reported two vehicle collision on Middle Road in Warwick parish near the junction with St. Mary’s Road. Details are limited at this time but it appears that a male rider was riding along Middle Road when he lost control of his vehicle and collided with a car. The rider was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance where he is being treated for leg injuries.
Two Suspects Arrested: Reported Attempted Robbery in Warwick

At 11:30am today (Tuesday, Feb 17th) police responded to a report of what appeared to be a robbery in progress at a residence on Cedar Hill in Warwick. Details are still emerging but it appears a neighbour saw what appeared to be 3 suspicious males trying to gain entry into a dwelling. Police were dispatched and the suspects fled the area. Two of the suspects were later captured in the area of Horseshoe Bay Road in Southampton. However, the search for the third subject continues and a motorcycle involved in the incident was impounded. Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area to please contact police on 295-0011.
Reported Serious Two Vehicle Collision on Crow Lane

At approximately 9:50pm on Sunday night police responded to a report of a two vehicle, road traffic collision that took place at the junction of Crow Lane and Corkscrew Hill. Details are limited at this time however it appears that a motorcycle was pulling out of the bus layby and car traveling in an easterly direction on Crow Lane collided. As a result, a 42 year old man was taken to the KEMH where he is presently in the ICU listed in stable condition with serious internal injuries however, the driver of the car escaped unharmed.
Single Vehicle Damage Only Collision in Warwick

Around 7:30am on Friday, February 6th police officers were dispatched to a reported single vehicle damage only collision on Middle Road in Warwick near the junction with Khyber Pass.
It appears that a car being driven along Middle Road collided with a roadside wooden fence and a utility pole, ending up off the road.
Update: Police Motorcyclists, Teenager Injured in Sandys Parish Collision

Both police motorcyclists injured in a collision during a pursuit with a teenaged motorcyclist around 1pm Wednesday in the Middle Road, Overplus Lane Sandys parish area were apparently treated at hospital for their injuries and discharged later that day.
The 19 year old Sandys parish male rider involved was also injured, treated at the hospital and discharged later the same day.
Injured Burglary Suspect Recovering in Hospital

At last check a teenaged burglary suspect was recovering in stable condition on a general ward at the hospital.
The 18 year old Sandys parish male received stab wounds to the torso and leg in an altercation outside a Middle Road, Southampton residence Tuesday night.
It has since been confirmed that both residents involved in this incident outside their home were also injured.
Weekend Police Activity

Over the weekend police officers arrested seven people on suspicion of impaired driving as the Selective Traffic Enforcement Programme (STEP) continues.
Officers also arrested 21 people for outstanding warrants and conducted liquor license checks at various liquor licensed premises throughout the island.

Around 6pm on Thursday, January 29th first responders were dispatched to a reported single vehicle collision at the junction of Middle Road and Christ Church Lane in Devonshire.
It appears that a car was being driven along Middle Road when it collided with a wall.
Scheduled Central Parishes Community Outreach Clinics Postponed

The Bermuda Police Service would like to advise the public that the ‘Meet Your Community Action Team (CAT) Officers’ – Police Community Outreach Clinics for Pembroke and Paget residents, originally scheduled for 12 noon to 4pm Saturday, 31st January 2015 at C-Mart in Pembroke and Rural Hill Plaza in Paget respectively, have been postponed.
The public will be notified of the new details for these community clinics in due course.
