Motorcyclists Injured in Separate Hamilton Parish Collisions

Around 4:30pm on Wednesday, June 3rd first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with Radnor Road, apparently involving a motorcycle and a car.

Details remain limited at this time; however it appears that the motorcyclist, believed to be a 26 year old Warwick woman, was treated at the scene by EMTs for injuries that did not require hospital care.

81 Year Old Motorcyclist Remains in ICU, Witness Appeal Continues

At last check the 81 year old male motorcyclist injured in a collision with a truck that occurred around 1:50pm Monday, June 1st at the junction of Cavendish Road and Lane Hill in Pembroke remains at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit in critical condition.

Inquiries regarding this collision continue and any witnesses or persons who were traveling through the Cavendish Road, Lane Hill Pembroke area around 1:45pm Monday, should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011 at the earliest opportunity.

Motorcyclist in ICU After Collision With Truck

Around 1:50pm on Monday, June 1st first responders attended a reported two vehicle collision at the junction of Cavendish Road and Lane Hill in Pembroke.

It appears that a motorcycle was being ridden along Lane Hill and a truck was being driven along Cavendish Road when the vehicles collided at the junction.

Inquiries Continue Into Reported Bomb Threat at Whitney Institute

Around 10:20am today (Monday, June 1st) the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit completed their search of Whitney Institute Middle School without incident and deemed the school safe to resume normal operation, following a reported bomb threat earlier.

First responders initially attended a reported burglary of Whitney Institute at 8:04am today, where an apparent bomb threat was discovered.

Reported Medical Emergency [Updated]

Around 12:50pm on Friday, May 29th first responders were dispatched to a reported medical emergency on Bluff Lane in Pembroke, which is in the vicinity of Mount Hill.

It appears that a 52 year old Warwick man was found lying on the side of the road in an unresponsive state.

Reported Stolen Vehicle Located

The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating a red Hyundai Tucson bearing license plate number 41222 reported stolen sometime around 5am Tuesday, May 26th from outside Prime’s Place on Victoria Street in Pembroke.

The vehicle was later found around 6:55pm Tuesday on Tanglewood Road in Paget and impounded by police as inquiries regarding this matter continue.

Car Collides With Utility Pole in Hamilton Parish

Around 8pm on Monday, May 25th first responders attended a reported single vehicle collision on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish, near the junction with Green Bay Road.

It appears that a car was being driven along North Shore Road when it collided with a utility pole.

Motorcyclist Critical After Reported Collision With Truck

At last check the 50 year old Southampton man injured when the motorcycle he was riding apparently collided with a truck on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Industrial Park Road around 8am today was in critical condition.

Another rider injured in a separate collision with the ambulance transporting the first victim apparently sustained leg injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening.

Apparent Drowning of American Visitor Kevin Keeley

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 52 year old American visitor Kevin Keeley and extends condolences to his family and friends.

It appears that Mr. Keeley, from California, was initially aboard the local pleasure boat ‘Aristocat’ before he encountered difficulty while swimming in the waters near Watford Bridge in Sandys parish around 3:45pm Wednesday, May 20th.

Investigation Into Apparent Drowning of Wilmis Herrera Moreno

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 25 year old Wilmis Herrera Moreno and extends condolences to his family and friends.

It appears that Mr. Herrera Moreno, a Dominican Republic national, was initially on a 15 foot open boat with four other individuals in the waters surrounding Long Island – commonly referred to as Paradise Lakes – before he encountered difficulty whilst swimming around 6pm Tuesday, May 19th.
