ICU Condition Update: Man Shot in Rambling Lane, Pembroke Area

At last check this morning (March 10th) the 19 year old Pembroke man shot in the Rambling Lane, Pembroke area around 10:30pm Thursday was in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

The investigation continues and any witnesses or persons that may have seen any suspicious activity in the Rambling Lane, Pembroke area around 10:30pm Thursday, March 9th should contact the Serious Crime Unit on 247-1739 or the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline 800-8477.

Motorcyclist Recovering After Crash in Smith’s Parish

At last check 7am today (March 8th) the 49 year old man injured in a reported serious single vehicle motorcycle collision in the Middle Road, Store Hill Smith’s parish area around 10:20pm Tuesday was recovering in stable condition on a general ward at the hospital.

It now appears that he was riding along Store Hill when the crash occurred, near the junction with Middle Road.

Reported Disturbance at Somerset Cricket Club

Around 9:50pm on Saturday, March 4th police responded to a reported disturbance at Somerset Cricket Club.

It appears that an incident took place between players of Somerset Trojans and Robin Hood near the end of their football match.

However, apparently there were no reported injuries.

4 Year Old Boy Injured in Collision With Truck Recovering

At last check earlier this afternoon (Wednesday, March 1st) the 4 year old boy injured by a truck around 5:15pm Monday, February 27th while riding his bicycle in the Seawall Drive, Sandys parish area had been transferred from the Intensive Care Unit to a general ward at the hospital in stable condition.

Inquiries continue and any witnesses that have not already come forward should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.

Reported Theft of Cash From Taxi Driver

Detectives are currently conducting inquiries into a reported theft.

It appears that between 10pm and 10:15pm Monday, February 27th a male taxi driver transported two passengers, a male and a female believed to be in their 20s, from Cedar Avenue, City of Hamilton to the parking lot of Clear View Suites, Hamilton parish.

Reported Robbery

Around 12:40am on Monday, February 27th police received a report of a robbery on St. David’s Road in St. George’s.

It appears that sometime between 8:45pm and 9pm Sunday, February 26th a 24 year old Hamilton parish man was riding his motorcycle along St. David’s Road near the junction with Dolly’s Bay Road when he was accosted by two unknown men on another motorcycle and apparently knocked to the ground.

Reported Missing Teenager India Smith Located

Reported Motorcycle Crash in Hamilton Parish

Around 7:15am on Monday, February 20th police and first responders attended a reported collision involving a motorcycle on Abbot’s Cliff Road in Hamilton parish.

Appeal for Information Regarding Anonymous Message Circulating

The Bermuda Police Service is aware of an anonymous message apparently being circulated via social media and mobile phone chat groups ‎suggesting that a man driving a black taxi or minibus allegedly attempted to lure a boy with candy in the Sound View, Sandys parish area on an unspecified date.

Currently no reports have been received to substantiate this scenario.

Reported Robbery at Sandys Laundromat

Around 1:45pm on Saturday, February 11th police officers responded to a reported robbery at Sandys Laundromat on Somerset Road in Sandys parish.

It appears that an unknown male culprit entered the business brandishing a bladed article.

Apparently the suspect then escaped with cash and jewellery taken from the 84 year old male proprietor and a 27 year old male customer that were on the premises at the time.
