Injury RTC - At 8:35pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of North Shore Road and Princess Estate Road in Pembroke involving two cars and a motorcycle. It appears that traffic traveling west and east on North Shore Road had stopped to allow a car to exit Princess Estate Road. However, as the car exited Princess Estate Road a motorcycle was traveling west on North Shore Road and a collision occurred. The rider of the motorcycle, a 34 year old Pembroke man, sustained head and facial injuries as well as bruising to his right shoulder and leg.

Confirmed Firearm Incident in Devonshire - Both the 16 year old Pembroke man and the 22 year old Pembroke man injured in the shooting around 10:50pm on Wednesday in the Friswells Road/Middle Terrace, Devonshire area remain in the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital recovering. They are both in stable condition on a general ward. Police are continuing to appeal for any witnesses or anyone with any information about this incident to contact the Serious Crime Unit on 299-8106 or the independent, confidential 24 hour Crime Stoppers Bermuda hotline on 800-8477.

Injury RTC - Around 9am today, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Devonshire near the junction with Loyal Hill Pass involving a pedestrian and a motorcycle. It appears that the pedestrian, a 32 year old St. George’s woman, had exited a bus in the area. As she attempted to cross the road, a motorcycle traveling east on North Shore Road collided with her. The pedestrian apparently sustained minor injuries and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The rider of the motorcycle, a 49 year old Devonshire man, sustained cuts to his left leg & left arm.

The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the motoring public to slow down and to drive as well as ride responsibly on the island’s roads. Additionally, we urge those traveling in cars to use their seatbelts at all times and make sure any children traveling in the vehicle are appropriately restrained. Those traveling on motorcycles should always fasten their helmets and avoid making a third lane.

Burglary - Around 12:45pm on Friday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Bow Lane, Southampton residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 8:30am and 12:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a PlayStation 3 video game system and a Dell laptop computer. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Update: Removed Vehicle Located - At 10:40am today, Police located a missing blue Mitsubishi Pajero jeep in the Spanish Point, Pembroke area. The vehicle was returned to its rightful owner. It had been reported stolen from Harrington Sound Road in Smith’s parish, near the junction with Lolly’s Well Road on the evening of Saturday, June 5th.

Burglary - Around 12:10am today, Police responded to a report of a burglary that took place at a residence in the Ord Road/Cobbs Hill Road, Warwick area. Upon Police arrival the complainants stated that unknown culprits gained entry into their home and brandished what appeared to be a firearm. The intruders assaulted the two men inside before making good their escape empty handed. The two victims were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment of their injuries (which were not gunshot related) and subsequently released. We want to reassure the community that this was not a random occurrence.

June 9 - Daily Report

Damage Only RTC - Around 6:50am today, Police received a report of a single vehicle damage only road traffic collision on Harbour Road in Paget near the junction with Valley Road. Details about how the collision occurred are unclear at this time; however, it appears that a car traveling along Harbour Road collided with a wall, ending up over the embankment. The driver was apparently uninjured; the car received front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Robbery - At 3:05am on Sunday, Police received a report of a robbery. It appears that a taxi driver picked up a fare in the City of Hamilton area. The unknown man asked to be taken to the Bailey’s Bay, Hamilton parish area. Once there the taxi driver was directed to the Callen Glen Drive area. When the taxi stopped, two unknown men approached the vehicle, one brandishing what appeared to be a firearm. All three suspects subsequently made good their escape on foot with a quantity of cash heading east along the Railway Trail. The taxi driver, a 65 year old Devonshire man, was not injured.
