Burglary - Around 7:35pm on Tuesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a South Road, St. George’s residence. It appears that sometime between 7:15am and 7:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied; however apparently nothing was taken. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

During the day on Tuesday Police also received reports of attempted burglary in the Middle Road, Paget area and the Scaur Hill Drive, Sandys parish area as well as a report of prowling in the No Name Lane, Sandys parish area. On Tuesday evening there was a report of prowling in the Middle Road, Southampton area.

The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the motoring public to slow down and to drive as well as ride responsibly on the island’s roads. Additionally, we urge those traveling in cars to use their seatbelts at all times and make sure any children traveling in the vehicle are appropriately restrained. Those traveling on motorcycles should always fasten their helmets and avoid making a third lane.

Burglary - Around 3:35am on Monday, Police responded to a report of a burglary at a Robin Hood Drive, Pembroke residence. It appears that around 3:25am that day an unknown culprit gained entry into the apartment brandishing a bladed article and accosted one of the occupants, a 39 year old Pembroke man. The other occupant, a 29 year old Pembroke man, managed to escape unharmed. The intruder fled the scene with a quantity of cash. The victim sustained facial injuries but declined medical treatment. The suspect is described as a tall dark skinned male of slim build, wearing a long dark coloured hooded jacket and long dark coloured pants. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Injury RTC/Impaired Driving - Around 9pm on Thursday, Police and first responders attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of North Shore Road and Loyal Hill Road in Devonshire involving a car and a motorcycle. It appears that both vehicles were traveling along North Shore Road when they collided at the junction. The rider of the motorcycle, a 33 year old Devonshire woman, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. She was subsequently released.

Injury RTC/Impaired Driving - Around 9:55pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Mullet Bay Road and Echo Lane in St. George’s involving two cars. It appears that one vehicle was traveling along Mullet Bay Road while the other was traveling along Echo Lane when they collided at the junction. The drivers of both cars were not injured; however the passenger of one of the cars, a 37 year old Warwick woman, complained of back pain. One of the drivers, a 46 year old Devonshire man, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and detained after failing the alco-analyser test.

Disturbance - Around 3:15pm on Tuesday, Police responded to a reported disturbance at Victoria Park in Pembroke. As a result, three young men were arrested in connection with the incident and subsequently released on Police bail. Inquiries into this matter are ongoing.

Injury RTC - Around 2:30am on Monday, Police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Middle Road and Scenic Heights Pass in Southampton. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling along Middle Road when the rider, a 20 year old Devonshire woman, lost control. The rider and her pillion passenger, an 18 year old Sandys parish man, were injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The motorcycle received damage to multiple areas. Inquiries are underway.

Robbery - At 1:15am on Friday, Police responded to a report of a robbery. It appears that the victim, a 25 year old Sandys parish man, was walking along Angle Street in Pembroke near the junction with Brunswick Street when he was accosted by three men. The assailants fled the scene after taking a quantity of cash from the victim, who was apparently uninjured. A 20 year old Sandys parish man was subsequently arrested in connection with this incident. Inquiries are ongoing. Any witnesses or anyone with any information about this matter is encouraged to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.

Burglary - Around 5:15pm on Wednesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Watlington Lane North, Devonshire residence. It appears that sometime between 8am and 5pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of cash, electronic items & jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
