Missing Juvenile: Arianna Ball - The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 15 year old Arianna Ball who was last seen on Thursday August 18th in the Middle Road, Devonshire area. She is described as light skinned, approximately 5’6” tall of medium to large build, weighing approximately 190 pounds. She has long black curly hair and was last seen wearing a blue/white striped shirt, black skirt and metallic brown flat sandals.

Road Traffic Collision - Around 8:15pm on Tuesday August 16th, Police responded to a report of a road traffic collision at the junction of Middle Road and Keith Hall Road, Warwick. It appears that an auxiliary cycle and a car were travelling along Middle Road when they collided. The rider of the cycle, an 18 year old Paget man, was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance. His injuries are not considered to be serious. The driver of the car, a 42 year old Sandys man, was not injured. Motorists were diverted away from the area while Traffic Collision Investigators examined the scene. Enquiries into this incident are underway.

Burglary - Around 7:25am on Tuesday August 16th, Police responded to a report of a burglary at a St. John’s Road, Pembroke business. On Police arrival, it was discovered that sometime between the hours of 8:00pm on August 15th and 7:20am on August 16th, an unknown suspect gained entry into the business and made good their escape. At this time, it is unclear if anything was removed from the business. The suspect is described as a person wearing a black helmet with a visor, blue or black pants and a black jacket. Anyone with any information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.

Disturbance - At 2:26am on Friday August 12, Police responded to a report of a disturbance inside of the Tiger Market Esso Gas Station on Richmond Road, Pembroke. It was ascertained that shortly before Police arrival approximately ten people were fighting inside of the gas station. The store itself received damages resulting in destroyed food items and shelving units. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing. Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact Police on the main line at 295-0011.

Fire - At 2:02pm the Bermuda Fire Service, first responders and the Bermuda Police Service responded to a report of a fire at HWP Paint and Body Shop on St. John’s Road, Pembroke.

At present, members of the Bermuda Fire Service are working feverishly to get the fire under control with the help of 9 fire appliances and 60 fire officers.

Missing Juvenile Jonathan Burch-Dacosta Found - The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 17 year old Jonathan Burch-Dacosta. The teenager was located yesterday (Thursday, August 4th) safe and well.

Missing Juvenile: Jonathan Burch-Dacosta - The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public’s assistance in locating17 year old Jonathan Burch-Dacosta who was last seen on Sunday July 31 in the Sandys Parish area. He is described as brown skinned, approximately 5’8” tall of slim build, weighing approximately 150 pounds. He has closely cropped hair, an earring in his right ear, a tattoo of a teardrop under his right eye and a tattoo of a cross on his right arm.

Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of 17 year old Jonathan Burch-Dacosta is encouraged to contact the Vulnerable Persons Unit on 295-0011. The public is reminded that harbouring a juvenile is an offence punishable under the law.

Arrest - The Bermuda Police Service in conjunction with H.M. Customs can confirm that a 28 year old Latvian man is in Police custody after a significant amount of illegal drugs, a firearm and ammunition was seized from his sailboat. The 28 year old man diverted to Bermuda after experiencing mechanical problems with his boat while traveling to Europe. Investigations conducted thus far suggest that this shipment of illegal drugs was not destined for Bermuda, however this seizure is another good example of cooperation between overseas law enforcement agencies as well as local agencies.

The Bermuda Police Service can report a relatively uneventful Thursday (Friday until 6pm) as there were minor pockets of activity around the island with only a few minor incidents to report. Of note police were called to Horseshoe Bay beach yesterday after receiving a report of a disturbance. Upon police arrival 2 males were taken into police custody processed and detained at Hamilton Police Station and police in the abundance of caution shutdown Beach Fest at 8:30pm without further incident.

Cannabis Plants Seized - On Tuesday July 26, The Bermuda Police Service seized 40 of what are believed to be cannabis plants in various stages of growth in the Radnor Road, Smiths parish area. An investigation into this seizure has commenced. This is yet another example of the community working together with the police to eradicate illegal drugs from their neighbourhoods.
