Firearm Recovered - Acting on intelligence, police officers attended the Club Road, Smith’s parish area around 4:15pm on Sunday, September 11th and recovered a firearm. The firearm is being forensically examined and inquiries into the matter are ongoing.
The Bermuda Police Service continues to encourage the public to assist in making Bermuda safer by providing any information they may have that could lead to the recovery of illegal firearms.
Missing Juvenile: Eron Hill - The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 15 year old Eron
Hill. The teenager was last seen on Saturday, September 3rd at his Sandys parish residence and is described as brown skinned of medium build with a short afro. He was also reportedly seen on Tuesday, September 6th in the City of Hamilton and is known to frequent the Spring Hill, Warwick area as well as the Deepdale, Pembroke area.
Theft - Around 10am on Tuesday September 6th, Police responded to a report of a theft on Rosemont Avenue in Pembroke. On arrival it was ascertained that a 59 year old woman exited a parked car in the area when the vehicle was approached by two unknown men on a motorcycle. One of the men reached into the car and took a bag containing a quantity of cash. Both suspects then made good their escape on the motorcycle. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing. Police are asking for any witnesses or anyone with any information about this incident to contact Detective Constable Jason Robinson on 295-0011.
Collision on Frog Lane (Updated) - Around 7:30pm on Monday, September 5th police and first responders attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Frog Lane in Devonshire. It appears that a vehicle was travelling along Frog Lane when it collided with two other cars in the area; one parked and one stationary. Five people suffered minor injuries and were transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance where they were later treated and released. A 34 year old man was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving at the scene. He later failed an alco-analyser test and was detained. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing.
Missing Person: Shane Curtis - The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 51 year old
Shane Curtis. Mr. Curtis was last seen on Thursday, September 1st at his Sandys parish residence and is described as dark skinned, approximately 5’4” tall of slim build with a bald head and clean shaven face. He was last seen wearing dark coloured track pants and a white T-shirt.
Confirmed Firearm Incident - Police responded to a confirmed firearm incident in the Old Military Road, St. George’s area around 12:20pm on Friday September 2nd. Officers attended the scene and recovered evidence that a firearm had been discharged. However, no injuries were reported. A 31 year old man was arrested in connection with this incident. Inquiries are ongoing and detectives are appealing for anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area or anyone with any information to contact St. George’s Criminal Investigation Unit on 293-2222 or the independent confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477.
Collapsed Wall - At approximately 7am on Thursday September 1st, Police responded to a report of a collapsed wall in the Harbour Road, Paget area. On arrival, officers noticed debris in the road and began the cleanup process. The Department of Public Works was later called in to assist. Traffic was initially diverted onto Middle Road, which caused some traffic delays. Harbor Road was re-opened later in the morning.
Man Injured At Nightclub - Around 12:25am on Sunday, police and first responders attended a reported incident at Captain’s Lounge on Reid Street in the City of Hamilton. Details about what occurred are unclear at this time; however a 32 year old man was found injured at the bottom of the stairs. The victim was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment and at last check was in the Intensive Care Unit. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Missing Person: Ayesha Lake - The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 31 year old
Ayesha Lake. Ms. Lake is described as approximately 5’8” tall of slim build weighing 130 pounds. She was last seen in the Parsons Road and Friswells Hill areas of Pembroke. Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Ayesha Lake is encouraged to contact the main police number on 295-0011.
Single Vehicle Collision - At approximately 4:30am on Tuesday August 23rd, police responded to a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Harbour Road, Paget near the junction with Chapel Road. It appears that a motorcycle was travelling on Harbour Road when it collided with a wall. The rider, a 31 year old Sandys parish man, was injured and transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance. At last check, he was listed in critical condition. Motorists were diverted away from the area while Traffic Collision Investigators examined the scene. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing.
