Injury RTC in Sandys Parish - Around 6pm on Thursday, police attended a reported two vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Somerset Road in Sandys parish near the Arnold’s Supermarket. It appears that two cars were traveling along Somerset Road, driven by a 31 year old Sandys parish woman and an 18 year old Pembroke man respectively, when they collided. Including the drivers, there were two adults and three children in one vehicle and two adults in the other vehicle. All seven individuals were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for medical assessment and treatment.

Update: Disturbance At Snorkel Park - Police have arrested three men in connection with the disturbance at Snorkel Park in Dockyard that occurred around 2:35am on Tuesday, injuring two male cruise ship employees and a member of Snorkel Park’s security staff. The crew member that was admitted to hospital for treatment of his injuries has now been released. The investigation into this incident is ongoing and detectives are continuing to appeal for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010.

Disturbance At Snorkel Park - Around 2:35am on Tuesday, police attended a disturbance at Snorkel Park in Dockyard. An altercation had taken place between two male cruise ship employees and a group of local men. Security staff at Snorkel Park immediately responded and broke up the fight, but not before both cruise ship employees and one of the security staff had been assaulted. One of the crew members received the worst of the injuries that required admission to the hospital. His injuries are not considered life threatening. An investigation is underway, but no arrests have been made at this point.

Damage Only RTC in St. George’s - Around 9:55am on Monday, Police attended a reported single vehicle damage only road traffic collision at the junction of Southside Road, Cooper’s Island Road and Pepper Hall Road in St. George’s. It appears that a car was traveling along Cooper’s Island Road when it collided with the round-a-bout at the junction. As a result the car received extensive front end damage; however the driver, a 28 year old man, was not injured.

Update: Injury RTC at Court Street & Dundonald Street - Around 4pm on Monday, Police and first responders attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Court Street and Dundonald Street in Pembroke involving a motorcycle and a truck. It appears that both vehicles were traveling along Dundonald Street when they collided at the junction. The rider of the motorcycle, a 27 year old Southampton man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. His injuries are relatively minor. The truck driver, a 59 year old Warwick man, was not injured.

‘Prolific’ Burglar Receives Three Year Prison Sentence - A 49 year old man with a criminal history was sentenced to three years imprisonment by Magistrate Archibald Warner after pleading guilty to a recent Paget burglary in Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday. Dean O’Brien admitted to unlawfully entering the home and stealing money on Thursday, May 26th; however police officers arrested him a short time later. In addition to the three year prison term, Magistrate Warner stipulated that O’Brien will also serve two years of probation.

Injury RTC on Pitts Bay Road - Around 5:30pm on Monday, Police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Pitts Bay Road in Pembroke near the junction with Rosemont Avenue. Details about how the collision occurred are unclear at this time; however it appears that a rental cycle was traveling along Pitts Bay Road when it collided with a wall. Apparently the two individuals on the rental cycle sustained minor injuries. Inquiries are underway.

Damage Only RTC in Southampton - Around 7:45am on Monday, Police attended a reported single vehicle damage only road traffic collision on South Road in Southampton in the vicinity of the Fairmont Southampton Resort. It appears that a SUV was traveling along South Road when the vehicle went over an embankment. The driver of the vehicle, a 39 year old Sandys parish woman and her passengers, a 9 year old girl and a 4 year old boy, were not injured. The extent of damage to the vehicle is unknown at this time.

Injury RTC in Sandys Parish - Around 2:15pm on Friday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Bob’s Valley Lane in Sandys parish near the junction with Bluebell Lane involving two motorcycles. It appears that both vehicles were traveling along Bob’s Valley Lane when they collided. The riders of the motorcycles, a 19 year old Sandys parish woman and a 49 year old Warwick woman were both injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment. Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Bermuda Day Police Activity - The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their co-operation over the Bermuda Day holiday. Despite a few apparently minor disputes, there were no reports received of anyone being seriously injured. In addition no major incidents were reported.

Police officers provided high visibility patrols throughout the Bermuda Day holiday, conducting stop & search checks at various locations. Five people were arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and officers responded to seven reports of loud music.
