Impaired Driver - Around 2:45am on Wednesday December 7th, police officers were on mobile patrol along Middle Road, Warwick when they noticed a car that was driving in an erratic manner. The car was caused to stop by police and a 27 year old Pembroke woman was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving as a result. She subsequently failed the alco-analyser test and was detained in police custody. A court appearance is anticipated in due course.

Burglary Advisory - Once again the Bermuda Police Service would like to advise the public to remain vigilant regarding burglaries. On Monday December 5th there were six burglaries reported, the majority of which took place during the day. The parishes that were affected include: Hamilton parish, Southampton, Warwick, Pembroke and Devonshire, with two of the burglaries occurring in the Cloverdale Road, Devonshire area. Overall a quantity of electronics, jewelry, cash and alcohol was taken. The public is reminded to make sure all windows and doors are locked before leaving their homes unattended.

Inquiries Continue Regarding Frog Lane Collision - A 68 year old Smith’s parish woman has been released on police bail pending further inquiries into a collision involving a car and a 4 year old girl that took place around 6pm on Thursday December 1st. Police are continuing to appeal for any witnesses who may have been in the Frog Lane, Devonshire area around the time of the incident to contact PC Melesia Iris on 295-0011.

Car Collides With 4 Year Old Girl - Around 7pm on Thursday December 1st, police received a report of a collision. It appears that around 6pm a car was travelling on Frog Lane, Devonshire when it collided with a pedestrian. The car then reportedly left the scene. The victim, a four year old Southampton girl, was treated at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for relatively minor injuries and later released. The female driver of the vehicle involved has been identified and inquiries are ongoing. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to contact PC Melesia Iris on 295-0011.

Car Overturned in Paget - Around 4:30pm on Wednesday, police attended a reported two vehicle damage only road traffic collision on Berry Hill Road in Paget. It appears that a car was traveling along Berry Hill Road and another car was exiting the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital property when the vehicles collided. As a result one of the cars struck a wall and ended up overturned in the hospital staff parking lot, extensively damaged. The other car involved in the collision received relatively minor damage. In addition, an unoccupied parked car in the staff parking lot was damaged.

Arrest Regarding Recent Burglary - A man in his twenties was arrested on Wednesday November 30th on suspicion of burglary. Suspected stolen items were recovered. He is currently being held in custody pending further inquiries.

Members of the public are once again encouraged to report any suspicious activity in their neighbourhoods to the police by contacting 295-0011.

Arrests Regarding Recent Burglaries - Four teenagers were recently arrested in connection with a St. George’s burglary that occurred on Friday November 18th 2011. The young men have since been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

A man in his forties was arrested in connection with a Warwick burglary shortly after it occurred on Saturday November 26th 2011. He remains in custody as a court appearance is anticipated.

Willful Damage - Around 7:45pm on Thursday November 24th, police responded to a report of willful damage in the Kings Square, St. George’s area. On arrival, officers observed a number of broken ceramic plant pots, including four plants not in plant pots. The suspect is described as a dark-skinned male, who rode away from the scene on a bicycle. A search of the surrounding area was conducted, but the suspect was not located. Any witnesses or anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Southside Police Station on 293-2222.

Update: Serious Collision in Southampton - At 7:20am on Thursday November 24th, police and first responders attended a report of a serious collision on Middle Road, Southampton in the vicinity of Five Star Island involving a motorcycle and a bus. It appears that both vehicles were travelling along Middle Road when they collided. The rider of the motorcycle, a 41 year old Hamilton parish man, sustained head injuries and was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance. At last check, he was listed in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit. No one else was reported injured.

Collision in Hamilton Parish - Around 4:45am on Tuesday November 22nd, police and first responders attended a report of a two vehicle collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with Radnor Road. It appears that a car and a motorcycle were travelling along North Shore Road when they collided. The pillion passenger of the motorcycle, a 15 year old Paget girl received a leg injury and was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance. The rider of the motorcycle, a 21 year old Pembroke woman and the driver of the car, a 69 year old Hamilton parish man were not injured.
