At last check this morning (June 18th) the 36 year old visiting American woman pedestrian injured in a collision with a police motorcyclist around 5:25pm Monday, June 17th on Burnaby Street in the City of Hamilton was recovering in stable condition on a general ward at the hospital – while the police officer involved had been treated for his injuries and discharged.
It has been confirmed that the police motorcyclist was responding to a call for service at the time of the unfortunate collision.
A mother, said to be a 32 year old Paget woman and her son, said to be a 13 year old boy, were attacked by an unknown man at Blue Hole Hill Park Sunday afternoon (June 16th).
Thankfully, neither of them were seriously hurt.
At first it was reported that a girl (daughter) was with the mother and son, but it has since been confirmed that only the 32 year old woman and her teen son were involved in this incident.
Investigators continue to follow all lines of enquiry regarding two recent reported armed robberies – one in the parking lot of the Bermuda Squash Racquets Association on Middle Road in Devonshire around 8:30pm Sunday, June 9th and the other at Grannie’s Kitchen on North Shore Road in Pembroke around 11am Tuesday, June 11th.
While it cannot be confirmed that the two incidents are linked at this time, the possibility has not been ruled out.
The Bermuda Police Service (BPS) is happy to report that a 44 year old Devonshire woman has been located unharmed after she was reported missing this morning (Thursday, June 13th).
Keena Donawa was last seen Wednesday evening (June 12th) and reported missing by a family member the next morning (Thursday, June 13th), after her car was found parked and unoccupied at Spittal Pond nature reserve in Smith’s parish Thursday morning.

Around 11am today (June 11th) police officers responded to a reported armed robbery at Grannie’s Kitchen on North Shore Road in Pembroke.
Early information indicates that two men wearing dark coloured helmets entered the premises.
One of the suspects pointed an unknown object covered in a red cloth at a female employee and demanded money.
Around 8:30pm Sunday, June 9th police officers responded to a reported armed robbery.
It appears that a 20 year old man was sitting on a motorcycle in the parking lot of Bermuda Squash Racquets Association on Middle Road in Devonshire when he was approached by two unknown males on another motorcycle – with the rider demanding ‘everything’, while the pillion passenger held what appeared to be a firearm.
The Bermuda Police Service would like to advise the public that the next series of road sobriety checkpoints (as specified in the Official Gazette Notice Monday, June 3rd) will be conducted starting next Thursday, June 13th.
The checkpoints will be in effect in Hamilton parish, Devonshire, Pembroke, Paget, Warwick and Southampton on Thursday, June 13th, Friday, June 14th, Saturday, June 15th and Sunday, June 16th.

At last check this morning (June 5th) the injured 24 year old male motorcyclist involved was listed in stable condition on a general ward at the hospital, while the injured 20 year old male motorcyclist involved had been treated and discharged.
Around 8:55am today (June 4th) police, Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service and ambulance personnel responded to a reported collision involving two motorcycles on Parsons Road in Pembroke.
Early information indicates that one motorcyclist, said to be a 20 year old Pembroke man, was traveling west on Parsons Road while the other motorcyclist, said to be a 24 year old Pembroke man, was exiting Two Way Mews on to Parsons Road when they collided.
