Around 2:45am Wednesday, July 31st police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported serious two vehicle collision on Middle Road in Warwick in the vicinity of Sleepy Hollow Lane involving a car and a motorcycle.
It appears that the motorcyclist was traveling west on Middle Road and the car was being driven in the opposite direction when the collision occurred.
Witnesses are still being sought regarding the fatal motorcycle crash that claimed the life of 19 year old Mr. Talundae Grant.
The reported single vehicle motorcycle crash occurred around 1:55am Saturday, July 27th on Malabar Road in Sandys parish, near Cochrane Road – with the teen rider believed to have been traveling west on Malabar Road at the time.
It now appears that around 3:30am Friday, July 26th a reported single vehicle crash occurred on South Road in Warwick, in the vicinity of Southlands, involving a car and a utility pole.
The original statement regarding this incident indicated that the crash occurred around 3:45am.
Apparently the car involved was being driven in the eastbound lane of South Road when it struck the utility pole, near the junction with Dunscombe Road.
Around 9:55am today (Tuesday, July 23rd) a collision occurred at the Paget traffic lights on South Road in Paget, near the junction with Middle Road.
Early information suggests that a motorcyclist was in front of a tractor trailer truck at the traffic lights on South Road when the collision occurred, with the motorcycle ending up under the front of the tractor trailer truck.
However, it is understood that the male rider involved somehow escaped injury.
Around 9:15pm Sunday, July 21st a reported single vehicle motorcycle crash occurred on South Road in Paget near the junction with Cataract Hill.
It appears that the motorcyclist involved, said to be a 38 year old Pembroke man, was traveling east on South Road in the vicinity of Paraquet Restaurant when he struck the kerb.
At last check this morning (July 18th) the 58 year old male driver injured in a two car collision that occurred around 2:40am Sunday, July 14th on South Road in Paget, near the junction with Happy Talk Lane, remained in stable condition in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.
Inquiries continue and any witnesses are still asked to call the main police telephone number 295-0011 as soon as possible.
The Parish Constable for Hamilton parish, Constable Litanya Smith, will be conducting a community outreach clinic to meet and greet area residents Saturday, July 20th from 11am until 2pm at the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo.
Members of the public are encouraged to attend to discuss any concerns they may have regarding their neighbourhoods and to receive general crime prevention advice.
It has been confirmed that a 22 year old man hurt in a disturbance at St. George’s Cricket Club that occurred around 11pm Sunday, July 14th was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance, treated and later discharged.
A 32 year old man was arrested for assault on police during the incident.
Around 3:45am today (July 11th) a burglary occurred at the Vera P. Card store on Water Street in St. George’s.
It appears that two male suspects gained entry into the store and stole a quantity of jewellery before making good their escape.
This is the third burglary at Vera P. Card in recent months, following two similar incidents around 3am May 11th and around 4am May 24th.
Early information indicates that around 1:20pm today (July 9th) two Department of Public Transportation buses collided near the junction of Middle Road and South Road in Southampton, in the vicinity of Barnes Corner.
Police and fellow first responders attended the scene, but details remain limited at this time.
However, it is understood that two people were hurt and transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.
