Around 9:15pm Tuesday, September 24th police, Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service and ambulance personnel responded to a reported serious two vehicle collision on St. Mary’s Road in Warwick near the junction with Hillview Road involving a car and a motorcyclist.
It appears that the vehicles involved were traveling in opposite directions at the time.
The Bermuda Police Service is aware of the latest instances of offensive graffiti which apparently appeared overnight at the following locations in Pembroke:
Parsons Road
Happy Valley Road
Angle Street/North Street
Due to roof damage sustained during Hurricane Humberto, Somerset Police Station has been closed to the public until further notice and police personnel that were working at that location have been temporarily relocated to the Dockyard Marine & Community Policing office.
Thankfully, no one was hurt.
A full assessment of the damage is taking place and members of the public are advised to avoid the property until the building is fully repaired.
Around 6:50pm Thursday, September 12th police officers were dispatched to an incident on Somerset Road in Sandys parish in the vicinity of Warren Simmons community field.
On arrival officers conducted inquiries and spoke with the mother of an 11 year old boy, who accused an older man in the area of following her son while making inappropriate comments, as the boy walked from Champs Variety near the junction of Somerset Road and Cambridge Road.
Around 6:55am Thursday, September 12th police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported collision on Middle Road in Warwick near the junction with Cobbs Hill Road.
It appears that a 39 year old Paget woman was running (exercising) along Cobbs Hill Road and a motorcyclist, said to be a 42 year old St. George’s man, was riding west along Middle Road when the 39 year old woman attempted to cross Middle Road and was struck by the motorcyclist.
Around 6:45am Monday, September 9th a reported two vehicle collision occurred on North Shore Road in Devonshire near the junction with The Glebe Road.
It appears that a car was being driven along The Glebe Road and a rental scooter was being ridden along North Shore Road when the vehicles collided on North Shore Road.
Around 5:50pm Tuesday, September 3rd a reported three vehicle collision occurred in the North Shore Road, Barkers Hill Devonshire area.
It appears that a car was being driven in the eastbound lane of North Shore Road followed by a motorcyclist – and another car was being driven in the opposite direction when the collision occurred in the vicinity of Loyal Hill.
Two 24 year old men – both believed to be from St. George’s – have been arrested in connection with the assault of a security officer at East End Mini Yacht Club that occurred around 12:30am Saturday, August 24th.
Both men remain in police custody at this time pending further inquiries.
A 38 year old St. George’s man arrested shortly after the incident has since been released on police bail.
A 17 year old male has been arrested in connection with the theft of a handbag from a 52 year old female Canadian visitor’s rental scooter basket that occurred around 12:15pm Friday, August 23rd in the parking lot at Horseshoe Bay beach, Southampton.
He remains in police custody at this time pending further inquiries.
A 15 year old boy arrested later Friday afternoon in connection with this incident has since been released on police bail.
A 19 year old woman believed to be from Paget has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of an 18 year old Devonshire woman around 12:30am Sunday, August 25th near Horseshoe Bay beach, Southampton. She remains in police custody at this time.
The 18 year old woman’s injuries are not life threatening and apparently the arm injury sustained by an 18 year old Devonshire man at the same location is not consistent with a stab wound.
