Impaired Driving - Around 3:25am on Wednesday, March 14th police on mobile patrol along South Road in Paget observed a jeep travelling through the area in an erratic manner and caused it to stop. The driver, a 33 year old Sandys parish man, was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and detained as a result. A court appearance is anticipated in due course.
Assault - Around 7:55pm on Monday, March 12th police and first responders attended a reported assault with a bladed article at an Elliot Street, Pembroke residence. The suspect and the victim are apparently known to each other. Both men were injured as a result. The victim, a 44 year old Warwick man, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment and at last check was recovering on a general ward. The suspect, a 41 year old Pembroke man, was also treated at hospital for his injuries, arrested and detained in police custody in connection with the incident. Inquiries are ongoing.
Collision - Around 3:15am on Sunday, March 11th police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle collision at the junction of South Road and Trimingham Road in Paget. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling along Trimingham Road when the rider, a 51 year old Paget man, was unable to negotiate the round-a-bout at the junction. As a result the Paget man was injured and the motorcycle was extensively damaged. The victim was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of his injuries, which are not believed to be serious and subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.
Handbag Snatch - Around 11:30pm on Thursday, March 8th police responded to a reported handbag snatch on Broken Hill Lane in Smith’s parish. It appears that the victim, a 27 year old Smith’s parish woman, was accosted by an unknown man as she exited her car outside her home. The suspect, described as a black male approximately 6’ tall wearing a white hooded top, T-shirt, jeans and sneakers, took the victim’s handbag and made good his escape on foot. The Smith’s parish woman was not injured.
Collision - Around 5:45pm on Wednesday, March 7th police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle collision on South Road in Paget in the vicinity of the Botanical Gardens. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling along South Road when the rider, a 59 year old Paget man, fell to the ground and was injured. His injuries are not believed to be serious. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Collisions - Around 7am on Wednesday March 7th, police and first responders attended a reported collision on Palmetto Road in Devonshire between a car and a motorcycle. It appears the vehicles were travelling along Palmetto Road when they collided near the junction with Aeolia Drive. The rider, a 33 year old Hamilton parish woman was injured and conveyed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance. The driver, a 68 year old Warwick woman was not injured. Both vehicles were damaged and there were traffic delays in the area as a result. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Missing Person: John Iris - The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 49 year old John
Iris [pictured]. He was last seen on Monday March 5th, 2012 wearing blue jeans and a brown sweater and is known to frequent the City of Hamilton. Mr. Iris is described as brown-skinned, 6 feet tall and 170lbs. Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of 49 year old John Iris is encouraged to contact the Vulnerable Persons Unit on 295-0011.

It appears that a car was travelling along Middle Road when it collided with a utility pole. The driver, a 36 year old Devonshire woman was injured and apparently treated at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Collision - Around 7:20am on Wednesday February 29th, police and first responders attended a reported collision on Dunscombe Road, Warwick near the junction with South Road between a car and a pedestrian. The pedestrian, a 10 year old Warwick boy was injured and conveyed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The driver, a 50 year old Southampton man was not injured. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Any witnesses or anyone with any information should contact the main police number on 295-0011.
Collision - Around 8am on Tuesday February 28th, police and first responders attended a reported collision in the area of South Road and the Railway Trail in Paget between a car and a pedestrian. Details are unclear at this time; however the pedestrian believed to be a 54 year old Paget woman was injured. She was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The extent of her injuries is currently unknown; however they are not believed to be life threatening at this time. The car driver, a 21 year old Paget woman was not injured. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing.
