Appeal for Witnesses: Assault - The Bermuda Police Service is investigating a report of an assault that occurred in Devonshire on Monday April 2nd, 2012 around 2:20pm. It appears that a 19 year old Pembroke man was injured as a result of a reported assault in the area. The victim was transferred to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance where he was treated for his injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening.
Assistance is being sought from the public regarding any information relating to the suspects in this case, who are described as two males wearing dark-coloured clothing, travelling on a dark coloured motorcycle.
Impaired Drivers - Around 1:25am on Sunday April 1st, police on mobile patrol on Par-La-Ville Road in the City of Hamilton noticed a motorcycle driving erratically. Officers pursued the motorcycle and caused it to stop along Pitts Bay Road in Pembroke. The rider, a 51 year old St. George’s man was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and detained as a result. A court appearance is anticipated in due course.
Collision - Around 12:30am on Friday, March 30th police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle collision at the junction of Somerset Road and Portland Lane in Sandys parish. It appears that a car was traveling along Somerset Road when it overturned and collided with a nearby building. The driver, a 29 year old Paget woman, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment; however her injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The car was extensively damaged as a result. The building was also damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Collision - Around 5:20pm on Wednesday, March 28th police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle collision on Blackwatch Pass in Pembroke. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling along Blackwatch Pass when it collided with a sidewalk. As a result the rider, a 22 year old Hamilton parish man, was injured; however his injuries are not believed to be serious. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Collision - Around 9:20pm on Tuesday, March 27th police attended a reported two vehicle damage only collision on Spanish Point Road in Pembroke near the junction with St. John’s Hill. It appears that a jeep and a car were traveling along Spanish Point Road when the jeep collided with a utility pole as well as the car. Both vehicles were damaged as a result; however there were no reported injuries.
Collision - Around 10:30am on Monday, March 26th police and first responders attended a reported collision on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with High Point Road. It appears that two motorcycles were traveling along Middle Road when they collided. The rider and pillion passenger of one motorcycle, a 19 year old Sandys parish man and an 18 year old Southampton man respectively, were injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. They were later released. The rider of the other motorcycle, a 35 year old Southampton man, was also injured; however his injuries were relatively minor.
Collision - Around 8:30am on Monday, March 19th police and first responders attended a reported two vehicle collision at the junction of North Shore Road and Old Road in Hamilton parish. It appears that a bus was traveling along North Shore Road and a car was traveling along Old Road when the vehicles collided at the junction. The car received extensive front end damage and the bus was also damaged; however there were no reported injuries. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing.
Collision - Around 10:30pm on Friday, March 16th police and first responders attended a reported two vehicle collision on South Road in Paget in the vicinity of the South Round-a-bout. It appears that two cars collided in the area; as a result both vehicles were extensively damaged. One female driver was injured and treated at the scene while the other, a 51 year old Southampton woman, was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. The injured driver was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for further medical assessment; however her injuries are not believed to be serious. There were no other injuries reported.
Collision - Around 5pm on Thursday, March 15th police and first responders attended a reported collision on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with East Point Lane, involving two cars and an auxiliary cycle. It appears that all three vehicles were traveling along North Shore Road when they collided. The three vehicles received relatively minor damage. The rider and pillion passenger of the auxiliary cycle, a 19 year old St. George’s woman and a 12 year old St. George’s girl were injured; however their injuries are not believed to be serious. There were no other injuries reported. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing.
Collision - Around 3:15pm on Wednesday, March 14th police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle motorcycle collision in the area of Loyal Hill Pass and Vesey Street in Devonshire. Details about the incident are unclear at this time; however the rider, a 24 year old Pembroke man, was injured and the motorcycle involved was extensively damaged. The victim received treatment for his injuries at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and at last check was in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit.
