Vehicle Fire

At 10:55pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported vehicle fire on Happy Valley Road in Devonshire. On arrival officers observed the Bermuda Fire Service had the blaze under control. The two vehicles involved in the fire, a Honda motorcycle and a blue Kia Pride car, were extensively damaged. There were no reported injuries.

Around 8:15pm on Wednesday, Police were on mobile patrol in a marked Police vehicle traveling east along Middle Road in Sandys parish when officers observed approximately 6 youth throwing objects at a taxi. Today, as part of Police Week 2007, the Bermuda Police Service is hosting 8 students who were chosen as winners of the ‘Commissioner for a Day essay competition held in the islands primary and middle schools from September 25th to October 26th. The winners are:
Burglary

Around 8:15pm on Tuesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Spicery Road, Warwick residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 8am and 7:45pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of cash and two gold rings. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
