There is less than one week to go until the start of Police Week! The Bermuda Police Service would like to remind the public that Police Week 2007, being held from Saturday October 27th to Saturday November 3rd, includes a number of community related events suitable for school children to senior citizens, and everyone in between.
Around 8:50am on Friday, Police received a report of a burglary at St. Georges Preschool. The complainant stated that sometime between 3:45pm on Thursday and 8:45am on Friday, an unknown culprit gained entry into an office on the premises. The culprit stole a quantity of cash raised by the school, which was destined for charity. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Around 12:10am today, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Pembroke near the junction with Band Room Lane involving a car and a motorcycle. It appears that the motorcycle was traveling west on North Shore Road and the car was traveling in the opposite direction when the car overtook a bus also traveling east and collided with the motorcycle.
At 3:05pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported theft from Robertsons Drug Store in St. Georges. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 2:20pm and 2:30pm that day, an unknown culprit entered the store and stole a donation box containing a quantity of cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 3:55pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Spanish Point Road, Pembroke residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 9:30am and 3:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a grey Toshiba laptop computer. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 8:30pm on Monday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Wellington Slip Road, St. Georges residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 7:10am and 8pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into an apartment on the premises while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a Toshiba laptop computer. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Around 1:20pm on Friday, Police attended a reported burglary at a North Terrace, Pembroke residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 10am and 12:15pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a gold tennis bracelet. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Around 11:30 this morning, Police received a report of a serious road traffic collision resulting in injury on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Church Road, involving a truck and a car. It appears that the truck was traveling east on Middle Road and the grey Volkswagen car was traveling in the opposite direction when the vehicles collided.
Around 6:45 this morning, Police attended a reported burglary at a Cobbs Hill Road, Warwick residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 11pm on Monday and 6:30am on Tuesday, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home. The culprit stole a Compaq laptop computer and a wallet containing a quantity of cash and personal items.
