Around 12:10 this morning, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Devonshire, involving a rental cycle and a van. It appears that the van was traveling east on North Shore Road with the rental cycle traveling in the same direction behind the van. When the van attempted to make a right turn, the rental cycle collided with the rear of the vehicle.
At 4:50 this morning, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at a Marl Lane, Warwick residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that around 4:20am she awoke to find someone in her home. She alerted another occupant of the residence; however, the culprit made good his escape with $30 in cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
At 9:15 this morning, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at a Warwick guest property. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant, who is a visitor to the island. He stated that sometime between 12:30am and 6:15am today, an unknown culprit gained entry into his room. The culprit stole $112 in cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Theft
Around 6:35 this morning, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at Café Acoreano on Washington Street in Pembroke. On arrival officers spoke with the owner who stated that sometime between 8:30pm on Thursday and 6:25am today, an unknown culprit gained entry into the store. The culprit stole 30 packages of Marlboro & Camel cigarettes. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Around 12:45pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported breaking and entering at an East Shore Close, Sandy's parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 9:10am and 12:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home.
At 3:25pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported theft from the Bermuda Maritime Museum in Sandy’s parish. It appears that visitors to the Maritime Museum alerted staff to certain exhibits missing from their display cases in the Treasury Room.
At 1:45 this morning, Police received a report of a robbery on Glebe Road in Pembroke. The victims, a 16 year old Warwick boy and a 17 year old Warwick boy stated that around 10:30pm on Monday, they were standing on Glebe Road across from Victor Scott Primary School when six young men on three auxiliary cycles stopped beside them.
Around 7:05pm on Sunday, Police received a report of a handbag snatch on South Road in Smith’s parish. The victims, who are visitors to the island, were riding their rental cycles east on South Road when two men on a motorcycle (also traveling east) rode alongside the lead rental cycle near Watch Hill Road.
Around 3:15am on Wednesday, Police conducting laser speed checks at Woody’s Restaurant on Malabar Road in Sandy’s parish clocked an orange Yamaha V50 at 70 km/h as it traveled west. A motorcycle officer pursued the auxiliary cycle, caused it to stop and issued the rider a speeding ticket.
At 10:50pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported robbery at the junction of Middle Road and Dudley Hill in Paget. The victim, a 16 year old Warwick boy stated that at 10:15pm he was riding his auxiliary cycle west on Middle Road when five young men on three orange Yamaha V50 auxiliary cycles rode alongside and stole his silver chain.
