Around 6:20 this morning, Police received a report of a robbery on Wellington Slip Road in St. George’s. The victim, a 25 year old Smith’s parish man (taxi driver), stated that around 6am he picked up two men at King’s Square who indicated they wanted to go to the City of Hamilton. However, they asked to pick up a friend first.
At 3:50 this morning, Police received a report of a robbery on Front Street in the City of Hamilton, near the junction with Parliament Street. The victim, a 23 year old American man who is a visitor to the island, stated that he was walking along Front Street when he was approached by three men.
At 10:55am on Monday, Police attended a reported attempted robbery at the junction of Woodlands Road and St. John’s Road in Pembroke, outside Cycle Care. The victim, a 61 year old Pembroke woman, stated that around 10:50am she entered Cycle Care.
Around 10:35pm on Sunday, Police (two units consisting of two Police officers each) attended a reported domestic dispute at a Sound View Road, Sandy’s parish residence. On arrival, two of the officers spoke with the complainant, a 39 year old Sandy’s parish woman, inside the residence while the other two officers stayed outside.
Around 12 midnight, Police received a report of a robbery on Richmond Road in Pembroke. On arrival Police spoke to the victim, a 45 year old Devonshire woman, who stated that a man known to her approached her at the 24 hour Esso City Tigermart on Richmond Road and demanded that she give him the keys to her car. She refused and the man punched her in the face.
Around 10:30 this morning, Police received a report of a road traffic collision resulting in injury involving a rental cycle and a bus. It appears that a male tourist riding a rental cycle east on Paynters Road in St. George’s near Tuckers Point Golf Club collided with a bus traveling in the opposite direction.
At 10 this morning, Police received a report of a theft. The complainant stated that his white 8’ Bermuda built punt was removed from the eastern end of the Riddell’s Bay Condos in Warwick. The punt was last seen on Monday, June 27, 2005 in the complainant’s yard. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Breaking & Entering
Around 11:45pm on Monday, Police attended a report of a car on fire at a Harrington Sound Road, Smith’s parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that he parked his vehicle outside the residence around 8pm. At 11pm another occupant of the residence informed the complainant that the blue Mitsubishi Pajero was ablaze. As a result, the vehicle sustained rear end damage.
Around 2:25 this morning, Police received a report of a robbery on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish, outside the Dub City Variety store. It appears that the victim, a 52 year old Pembroke man, was sitting on his motorcycle in the area around 12:30am when a group of men approached him. Two of the men are known to the victim.
At 1:20 this morning, Police attended a reported theft from an unattended vehicle on Park Road in Pembroke. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 9:40pm on Thursday and 1am today an unknown culprit gained entry into his car. The culprit stole a grey Sony DVD Handycam, a silver Nikon digital camera and an unknown amount of coins.
