Reported Missing Person: Micala Yarde [Located] - The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 19
year old Micala Yarde. Ms. Yarde is described as light brown complexioned, approximately 5’6” tall of medium build, weighing around 130 pounds with brown straightened hair.
She was last seen at her Two Way Mews, Pembroke residence at 3pm on Friday, August 2nd wearing blue shorts and a white T-shirt.
Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of 19 year old Micala Yarde is encouraged to contact the Vulnerable Persons Unit on 247-1678 or call the main police telephone number 295-0011 at the earliest opportunity. The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 19 year old Micala Yarde. She has returned home safe and well.
Cup Match Holiday Weekend Recap - The Bermuda Police Service is happy to report that this Cup Match holiday weekend can go down on record as one of the safest we have seen in recent years. This is particularly encouraging as many of the venues over the period saw crowds of thousands over land and water.
We would like to thank our community partners, as well as every member of the public who acted in a responsible manner. Whilst we are encouraged by the actions of most, it was not incident free.
Recovered Jewellery - A quantity of suspected stolen jewellery has been recovered and inquiries are ongoing to verify the rightful owner(s). Members of the public are invited to view images of the recovered items by visiting the official Bermuda Police Service website and selecting the ‘Recovered Property’ link.
Members of the public without internet access are encouraged to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit at telephone number 247-1798 or 234-1010 in order to arrange a viewing of this recovered jewellery.
Reported Stolen Punts - The Bermuda Police Service Marine Unit is conducting inquiries into the reported theft of two punts from the Scott’s Harbour, St. George’s area, near the Swing Bridge.
The first, 'BB Gun', is described as green in colour with a blue bottom, measuring 5 feet by 3 feet and was removed sometime between 4pm Saturday, July 20th and 9:30am Sunday, July 28th.
Reported Serious Motorcycle Collision in Hamilton Parish - Around 2:30am on Friday, July 26th police and first responders attended a reported serious single vehicle motorcycle collision on Harrington Sound Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with Quarry Road.
It appears that the motorcycle was being ridden along Harrington Sound Road when it collided with a wall. The rider, a 28 year old St. George’s man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.
Reported Serious Collision on Harbour Road - Around 11:45pm on Tuesday, July 23rd police and first responders were dispatched to a reported serious collision on Harbour Road in Paget near the junction with Salt Kettle Road.
Details regarding how the collision occurred are unclear; however initial information suggests that two motorcycles were being ridden along Harbour Road when they collided.
Reported Stolen Vehicle Located - The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating a red Mitsubishi station wagon bearing license plate 40427 reported stolen from the parking lot near the junction of Front Street and King Street in Pembroke on the evening of Friday, July 19th. The car was subsequently located in the area it was reported stolen from and had apparently been clamped.
Reported Stolen Vehicle - Around 10pm on Friday, July 19th police received a report of a stolen vehicle. It appears that sometime between 8:30pm and 9:45pm that day a red Mitsubishi station wagon bearing license plate 40427 was removed from the parking lot near the junction of Front Street and King Street in Pembroke. Anyone who may know the whereabouts of this red Mitsubishi car is encouraged to contact the main police number 295-0011 at the earliest opportunity.
Traffic Advisory: 2013 NatWest Island Games Half Marathon - The motoring public is advised that the NatWest Island Games half marathon road running race will take place on Friday, July 19th 2013 starting at 6:30pm. Some traffic delays are anticipated and motorists are advised to take alternate routes if possible.
Collision in Hamilton Parish - Around 8:15am on Tuesday, July 16th police and first responders attended a reported two vehicle collision on Harrington Sound Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with Quarry Road. It appears that a motorcycle was being ridden along Harrington Sound Road and a car was exiting the driveway of an area residence when the vehicles collided.
The motorcycle rider, a 25 year old Devonshire man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. His injuries are not considered to be life threatening.
