Missing Juvenile Zackary Fox Located - The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 15 year old Zackary Fox. The teenager was eventually found safe and well.
Damage Only Collision on Southside Road
Around 4:45pm on Tuesday, June 4th police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle collision on Southside Road in St. George’s near the junction with Westcott Road.
Reported Robbery in Devonshire - Around 5:15am Tuesday, June 4th police on mobile patrol along Montpelier Road in Devonshire encountered two men running through the area that disappeared into the Arboretum.
It was then ascertained that a robbery had taken place nearby where two males took a handbag from a woman and made good their escape on foot. The female victim was not injured.
The Arboretum was immediately surrounded and a search for the suspects commenced.
Arrests Made at Warwick Property - Around 10pm Wednesday, May 29th police officers responded to a noise complaint at a South Road, Warwick property.
On arrival officers smelled what was believed to be illegal narcotics. A quantity of suspected controlled drugs and cash were subsequently detected and seized.
Marine Police Unit Move - The Bermuda Police Service advises that the Marine Police Unit is no longer located at the Barr’s Bay office.
The Marine Unit is now temporarily located at the Police COMOPS Building in Prospect, Devonshire before they make their permanent move to new offices in Dockyard expected to be 1st August, 2013.
Marine Police launches will continue to operate from Barr’s Bay. There will be no disruption to calls for services or general police patrols of the waterways in and around Bermuda as a result of the office move.
Reported Missing Juvenile: Zackary Fox - The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 15
year old Zackary Fox.
The teenager is described as light skinned, approximately 5’3” tall weighing around 115 -120 pounds. He is known to frequent the Fentons Drive, Happy Valley Road Pembroke area and has apparently been in contact with family recently.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of 15 year old Zackary Fox is urged to contact the Vulnerable Persons Unit on 247-1678 or the main police number 295-0011 at the earliest opportunity.
Fire Alarm Activation - Around 10:30am on Tuesday, May 28th a fire alarm was activated in the custody area of Hamilton Police Station. As a result, the police station and the adjoining Magistrates’ Court in the Dame Lois Browne Evans building were briefly evacuated.
The Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service promptly attended the scene, assessed the situation and shortly thereafter reentry into the premises was allowed.
Community Meeting For Sandys Parish Residents - The Bermuda Police Service Western Community Action Team will be hosting a ‘how to’ community meeting for Sandys parish residents at 7:30pm on Thursday, May 30th. Area MPs will also be in attendance at the meeting, which will be held at St. James Anglican Church hall on Somerset Road.
Ferry Collision With Dock - Around 8:30am on Tuesday, May 21st police received a report that the ferry ‘Resolute’ had collided with the Cavello Bay dock.
Two people onboard, a male crew member and a female passenger, apparently received minor injuries as a result. There were no other injuries reported. The ‘Resolute’ was also damaged.
Motorcycle Collision in Paget - Around 2:45am on Monday, May 20th police and first responders were dispatched to a reported serious single vehicle motorcycle collision near the junction of Middle Road and South Road in Paget. It appears that the motorcyclist was riding along Middle Road when he collided with a wall. The victim, a 37 year old Devonshire man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. At last check the victim was in stable condition. The motorcycle received front end damage. Inquiries into this collision are ongoing and any witnesses are encouraged to contact PC Teledo Breary on 295-0011.
