Around 12:20 this morning, Police attended a reported burglary at a Hamilton parish guest property. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 50 year old Canadian man, who stated that earlier he was in his apartment when an unknown man gained entry brandishing a hacksaw and demanded money. The contract worker gave the suspect $300 in cash.
Around 11:55pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported disturbance at a St. George's guest property. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 43 year old South African woman, who is a visitor to the island. She stated that around 11:45pm she was asleep in her apartment when she was awoken by a noise at the front door.
At 6:50pm on Monday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Hillview Road, Warwick residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 7am and 6pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home. The culprit stole $350 in cash. A 52 year old Warwick man was subsequently arrested in connection with this incident. Inquiries are underway.
At 3:30 this morning, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish, near its junction with East Point Lane. It appears that the rider of the motorcycle, a 32 year old Hamilton parish man, was traveling east on North Shore Road when he lost control and collided with a wall.
At 10:10am on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at the First Church of God in Pembroke.
At 6:30pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported theft from a resident of a Pembroke rest home. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 75 year old Pembroke man. He stated that around 5:30pm that day an unknown woman picked him up from the rest home in a black car and told him that his cousin was in jail, and needed money to get out.
Around 7:50 this morning, Police received a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Harbour Road in Paget, near Red Hole. Details about the collision are unclear at the moment; however, the female driver of the car and her passenger, a 2 year old child, were taken to KEMH for treatment of their injuries.
At 7:15pm on Monday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Knapton Close, Smith's parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 2:30pm and 5pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home. The culprit stole a laptop computer, a camcorder, U.S. $200 in cash, U.K. 50 pounds in cash, a radio and a pair of pearl stud earrings.
At 2:50 this morning, Police attended an alarm activation at the Gosling's Warehouse on Dundonald Street in Pembroke. On arrival officers observed a man on the property who attempted to make good his escape. However, officers gave chase and apprehended the suspect, a 36 year old Southampton man.
At 5:10 this morning, Police received a report of a robbery. The victim, a 46 year old taxi driver from Pembroke, picked up two men on One Way Deep Dale in Pembroke and drove them to the Ice Queen in Paget. At Ice Queen a third man got into the taxi. The taxi driver then drove the three men to Hermitage Road in Devonshire, where he was instructed to stop.
