Burglary - Around 7:30am today, Police received a report of a burglary at Port Royal Primary School. The complainant stated that sometime between 4pm on Tuesday and 7:20am on Wednesday, an unknown culprit gained entry into the premises. The culprit stole a black Dell desktop computer. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the motoring public to slow down and to drive as well as ride responsibly on the island’s roads. Additionally, we urge those traveling in cars to use their seatbelts at all times and make sure any children traveling in the vehicle are appropriately restrained. Those traveling on motorcycles should always fasten their helmets and avoid making a third lane.

Missing Juvenile, Troylene Anderson - The Bermuda Police Service continues to appeal for the public’s assistance inTroylene Anderson locating 17 year old Troylene Anderson. The teenager was last seen on Tuesday, January 26th 2010. She is described as 5’5” tall weighing approximately 186 pounds with short curly reddish brown hair and is known to frequent the St. Monica’s Road, Pembroke area. Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of 17 year old Troylene Anderson is encouraged to contact the Vulnerable Persons Unit on 295-0011.

February 5 - Daily Report

Injury RTC - At 4:30pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Point Finger Road and South Road in Paget involving two cars and a motorcycle. It appears that a car was exiting Point Finger Road and a motorcycle was traveling east on South Road when the vehicles collided. As a result the motorcycle was pushed into the westbound lane where it was in collision with another car which was traveling west on South Road. The rider of the motorcycle, a 19 year old Warwick woman, sustained abrasions to her body as well as a bruised left foot.

Injury RTC - At 11:20am on Wednesday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on St. David’s Road in St. George’s near the junction with Ship Point Road. It appears that a van was traveling west on St. David’s Road when the driver, a 25 year old Pembroke woman, lost control. As a result the vehicle toppled over, ending up on its right side. The Pembroke woman sustained minor abrasions to her right arm. She was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment. The van received damage to its right side.

Damage Only RTC/Impaired Driving - Around 3:40am on Saturday, Police attended a reported single vehicle damage only road traffic collision at the junction of Knapton Hill and Skyline Road in Smith’s parish. It appears that a car was traveling south on Knapton Hill when the driver, a 28 year old Devonshire man, lost control. As a result the vehicle collided with the verge and overturned, ending up on its roof. The Devonshire man was not injured and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. He was detained after failing the alco-analyser test. The car was extensively damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Vehicle Fire - Around 7pm on Thursday, Police received a report of a vehicle fire on South Road in Paget near the junction with Seabright Avenue. Officers attended the scene and discovered a black car stationary on South Road near the Botanical Gardens facing in an easterly direction. The Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service also attended the scene. It appears that the car was traveling east on South Road when another motorist alerted the driver, a 26 year old Smith’s parish woman, to flames coming from underneath her vehicle. However, the small fire extinguished itself shortly after it began.

Burglary - Around 5pm on Wednesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Slippery Hill, St. George’s residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 7am and 5pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home while it was unoccupied; however, it does not appear that anything was taken. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
