Police are appealing for witnesses in the assault of a 31 year old Smith's woman, that took place at 12:30am on Wednesday morning New Year’s Day at Pier Six. The victim, states that she was at Pier 6 at a New Year’s celebration when an unknown female walked up to her asking her “why are you talking to him.” The suspect then assaulted the Smith’s woman.
This resulted in the victim being taken to the hospital where she required facial surgery. The suspect is described as a white female 5’8" to 5’10" feet tall, thin framed, with dark hair and a British accent.
At 12:49am on Wednesday Morning, police attended a report of an assault that occurred at the Pier 6 premises. On Monday December 23rd at 6:20pm police attended a residence on Leacraft Hill Road in Sandys. It appears that two males entered a dwelling and made demands of “specific items”, as a result of their aggressive demands, the victim a 84 year old man began to scream for help.
At 1:30pm on Sunday, police responded to a report of a 41 year old man who was bitten in what appears to be an unprovoked attack by a black pit-bull terrier outside of a residence on Mission Lane in Pembroke.
Around 4:50am on Wednesday, December 18th first responders attended a reported single vehicle collision on Middle Road in Sandys parish near the junction with Bridge Lane.
It appears that a car was being driven along Middle Road when it collided with a wall in the vicinity of Somerset Bridge.
Over the weekend, police officers arrested six people on suspicion of impaired driving as the Selective Traffic Enforcement Programme (STEP) continues.
Officers also arrested 12 people for outstanding warrants and conducted liquor license checks at various liquor licensed premises throughout the island.
Around 11:55am on Tuesday, December 10th police officers responded to a dispute at the Bermuda College campus in Paget.
Details remain unclear at this time; however it appears that the dispute occurred between persons attending that location for GED examinations.
Two 17 year old Sandys parish males and two 18 year old Warwick males were arrested in connection with this incident.
