Around 12:10am on Wednesday, August 27th first responders were dispatched to a report of an unresponsive female at an Atlantic View, Southampton residence.
On arrival EMTs performed CPR on the 48 year old Southampton woman at the scene and rushed her to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance, where she was later pronounced dead by an on call doctor.
Around 2:20am on Monday, August 25th police officers were dispatched to a reported single vehicle collision on Middle Road in Southampton in the vicinity of Jews Bay.
It appears that a car was being driven along Middle Road when a collision occurred with a utility pole. The vehicle received extensive front end damage and was subsequently towed from the scene.
Around 12:40am on Friday, August 22nd first responders were dispatched to a reported serious collision on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with Coney Island Road. It appears that two motorcycles were being ridden along North Shore Road and a car was being driven along the same road when the vehicles collided.
The Eastern Community Action Team will be hosting a Police Community Clinic on Wednesday August 20th from 10am - 12pm and again from 4pm - 6pm at the Shelly Bay Market Place, Hamilton Parish.
At approximately 10:25am on Tuesday, August 12th first responders attended L.F. Wade International Airport regarding a flight diversion to Bermuda for medical reasons. American Airlines flight #1226 departed New York and bound for Antigua was diverted and landed safely in Bermuda.
Police responded to a report of a road traffic collision that took place at 9:52pm on Saturday night. It appears that a car was travelling west on Middle Road in Sandys just 200 meters west of Spring Benny Road when the driver of the vehicle lost control and hit the curb and subsiquently a tree.
Police are still seeking the public's assistance in identifying the 2 individuals that took part in a brazen daytime theft from a rental cycle on Tuesday. Attached are pictures that show a little more detail and we are still seeking the public's assistance in identifying these individuals:
At last check earlier today, the 28 year old Warwick woman injured when the motorcycle she was riding collided with a taxi along Parsons Road near the junction with Deepdale Road West in Pembroke around 11:30pm Saturday, August 2nd was recovering at the hospital's Intensive Care Unit in stable condition. The male taxi driver and female taxi passenger also injured in this collision had less serious wounds. He was treated at the hospital and later discharged while her injuries apparently did not require hospital treatment.
The Bermuda Police Service was highly visible both by land and sea yesterday with a high focus at Beach Fest where over 4,000 was estimated to be in attendance. Twelve persons were arrested for various offenses including possession of a controlled drug, invading on the privacy of a female, offensive words, affray, obstruction, and suspicion of wounding.
Around 1:20pm on Monday, July 28th police officers including Marine Unit officers were dispatched to a reported male swimmer in distress in the waters of Bailey’s Bay, Hamilton parish.
On arrival it appears that the 31 year old Hamilton parish man involved was located along the shoreline of an islet conscious and breathing.
