At 8:30pm on Tuesday, Police attended KEMH following a reported assault near the junction of Store Lane and Roberts Avenue in Devonshire. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, an 18 year old Devonshire man. He stated that earlier he was on Friswells Hill in Devonshire with other individuals when two young men approached him brandishing bladed articles.

Handbag Snatch

At 1:05 this morning, Police received a report of a handbag snatch on Front Street in the City of Hamilton. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 22 year old woman who is a visitor to the island. She stated that around 1am she was walking on Front Street near Number 1 Shed when an unknown man approached her from the cycle parking area.

Firearm Incident

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 18 year old Jason Lightbourne of Paget. Jason died of gunshot wounds sustained during an incident on Ord Road in Paget around 4:05am on Sunday. The Bermuda Police Service extends its sincere condolences to the family & friends of the deceased.

At 4:50pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at an Orange Valley Road, Devonshire residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainants who stated that sometime between 1:30pm and 3:40pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry while they were away from the home.

At 10:25am on Wednesday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Railway Trail, Devonshire residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 8:05am and 9:50am that day, an unknown culprit gained entry while he was away from the home.

Injury RTC

Around 11:40pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on The Causeway in St. George's reportedly involving a car and a motorcycle. It appears that the motorcycle was traveling east on the Causeway when the rider, a 28 year old St. George's man, alleges he was struck from behind by a white Volkswagen car, causing him to lose control of the cycle.

Burglary

Around 12:20pm on Monday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Berry Hill Close, Paget residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 8am and 11:45am that day while he was away from the home, an unknown culprit gained entry. The culprit stole an Apple I-Pod and a portable CD player. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
