Sudden Death of Ms. Honee Smith

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm identity of the woman who was found unresponsive in an area near the Warwick Playground as, Honee Smith.

Unfortunately, Ms. Smith succumbed to her injuries while receiving treatment at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

Ms. Smith was found shortly after 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2025, on a rocky embankment just off the trails near the playground.

The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, and an active investigation into how Ms. Smith came to be in that location is now underway.

An autopsy is anticipated in due course.

The Bermuda Police Service is once again appealing to members of the public who may have been in the area around the time of the incident and who may have seen a lone female along the trails to make contact with Detective Sergeant Kendy Swainson on, 717-2355 or via e-mail at, kswainson@bps.bm.
