Sudden Death of Ms. Honee Smith

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm identity of the woman who was found unresponsive in an area near the Warwick Playground as, Honee Smith.

Unfortunately, Ms. Smith succumbed to her injuries while receiving treatment at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

Ms. Smith was found shortly after 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2025, on a rocky embankment just off the trails near the playground.

The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, and an active investigation into how Ms. Smith came to be in that location is now underway.

An autopsy is anticipated in due course.

The Bermuda Police Service is once again appealing to members of the public who may have been in the area around the time of the incident and who may have seen a lone female along the trails to make contact with Detective Sergeant Kendy Swainson on, 717-2355 or via e-mail at, kswainson@bps.bm.

Second Suspect Arrested in Connection With Fatal Sandys Parish Shooting

The Bermuda Police Service can confirm the arrest of a second suspect, a 23-year-old male, in connection with the fatal shooting which took place at the Legends club in Sandys, on Thursday, May 1, 2025.

The first suspect arrested, remains in custody while the search continues for two others.

We wish to thank those members of the public who have assisted by coming forward and providing information about this incident. Information which has helped us to significantly progress our investigation.

Should you have any information regarding the events of last Thursday night, and have not yet reached out to us, we urge you to please do so. Acting Superintendent Smith stated, “The BPS is also once again appealing for anyone who may have knowledge of the whereabouts of the suspect believed to have been injured during to get in contact with us, in order that we may get them the medical assistance they require. The extent of those injuries is not known, but based on evidence retrieved, it appears to be serious.”

“If you know who this person is or, where they might be but prefer not to contact police, then please get them to hospital as soon as is posible.”

Appeal Against Misinformation

The Bermuda Police Service (BPS) is aware of rumours circulating in the community, that a suspect believed to have been injured in the shooting incident at the Legends bar, Somerset Road, Sandys, on Thursday, May 1, 2025, has succumbed to their injuries.

Our investigations have found no evidence to substantiate these claims.

However, we urge that if anyone has been injured that the individual, or those who may be looking after them, contact us so that we might assist in helping that person obtain any medical care they require.

Alternatively, the individual should be taken directly to hospital, if their injuries are believed to be serious or life-threatening.

We are appealing to the public, should you have any information as to where the injured person is located or who might be assisting them, to please get in contact with Acting Detective Superintendent, (ADS) Jason Smith on, 717-0864 or, via e-mail at, jsmith2@bps.bm.

Further, we ask that should you have any information about anyone you believe may have been involved in the incident at the Legends Bar, that you do not share it on social media, especially with accompanying images.

Fatal Sandys Parish Shooting Victim Identification

The Bermuda Police Service (BPS) can now confirm the identities of the two people who succumbed to injuries sustained in the shooting incident which took place inside the Legends bar, Sandys, around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2025.

They are, 32-year-old, Jasmin Smith and 29-year-old, Shaquan Williams.

The BPS extends condolences the families of the deceased.

The investigation regarding this incident is ongoing and the BPS is grateful to those persons who have already come forward to assist with inquiries.

However, we are appealing for anyone with any information who may not yet have reached out, to please contact the Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector (DCI) Derricka Burns.

Sudden Death Incident

Around 8:20 a.m. on Monday, May 5, 2025, police received a report of a person in an unresponsive state on Tribe Road #6 in Warwick.

Officers were dispatched to the area upon arrival found the lifeless body of a male.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death has commenced.

No further information will be provided, pending notification of the next of kin.

Witness Appeal: Murder of Keyoshe Robinson

The Bermuda Police Service is making a renewed appeal for information into the murder of Keyoshe Robinson, on this the third anniversary of his death.

Mr. Robinson was reported missing at 5:10pm on Wednesday 4th May 2022. He was last seen alive around 10:00pm on Tuesday 3rd May in the St. George’s town area.

On Thursday 5th May 2022, his body was found on the shoreline near the 10th hole of the St. George’s Golf Club. He had been shot and killed.

At the time, Mr. Robinson was wearing:

Grey sweatpants

A dark-coloured sleeveless puffy vest

A grey hoodie with black rings around the sleeve cuffs

White sneakers

We are urgently seeking assistance from anyone who may have seen or heard anything no matter how small particularly in or around the St. George’s Golf Club or nearby areas during the relevant time.

We are also interested in speaking with anyone who knew of Mr. Robinson’s movements leading up to the incident.

However, we urge members of the public that should you recognise or are able to identify any of the persons in that video, do not attempt to take matters into your own hand and approach or, confront them.

Fatal Firearms Incident [Updated]

Around 10:30pm on Thursday, May 1, 2025,  police received a report that several persons had been shot inside the Legends Night Club on Somerset Road, Sandys.

Upon arrival it was confirmed that four persons were injured.

Sadly, two of them have since succumbed to their injuries.

The scene was forensically processed and items liable for seizure were recovered.

Information is that four individuals traveling on two motorcycles were seen fleeing the area shortly after the incident.

An investigation into this matter is now underway and police are urging residents of the area with CCTV cameras to check their devices for any suspicious persons or activity which may have been captured on their devices between 10:00 PM and 10:45 PM.

Happy Valley Road Incident

Around 4:30 PM on the Thursday, May 1, 2025, officers carrying out inquiries, attended a residence on Happy Valley Road, Pembroke.

The officers approached the residence and attempted to speak with a male occupant who was the subject of their inquiries.

Upon seeing the police, the male took up a shovel and shouted at police not to enter the property.

He then went into the residence but returned carrying machetes, and approached the officers in a threatening manner.

One of the officers produced their taser and the male retreated into the residence.

He was subsequently arrested for use of threatening words or gestures and carrying offensive weapons without lawful authority.
