Disturbance - Around 2:10am today, Police attended a reported disturbance on Bermudiana Road in Pembroke, outside LV’s nightclub. Officers were at the scene speaking with a male regarding another matter when an unknown male started to scuffle with the aforementioned individual. As there was a crowd of Halloween revelers in the immediate vicinity, additional Police units were called to the scene. The situation was quickly brought under control and three individuals (two men and a woman) were arrested. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Robbery
Breaking & Entering - Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering at a residence on North Shore Road in Pembroke. It appears that the complainant arrived home around 7pm on Wednesday only to notice that someone had made an untidy search of his belongings and stole an undisclosed amount of money from his residence. The suspect is known to the victim and inquires into this incident are underway.
Theft
Injury RTC - Around 8:20am on Wednesday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Mullet Bay Road in St. George’s near the junction with Wellington Street involving a car and a mini bus. It appears that the car was traveling west on Mullet Bay Road and the mini bus was traveling in the opposite direction when the vehicles collided. The driver of the car, a 33 year old St. George’s woman, complained of pain to her back while her passengers, an 11 year old St. George’s girl and a 3 year old St. George’s girl complained of pain to their neck, lower back and neck respectively. Attempted Handbag Snatch - Around 11:20pm on Tuesday, Police received a report of an attempted handbag snatch on Serpentine Road in Pembroke near its junction with Pitts Bay Road. The victim, a 28 year old Pembroke woman, stated that she was walking along Serpentine Road when she passed an unknown man sitting on a motorcycle outside Trelawney Lane. The unknown man then approached her from behind, grabbed her black handbag, walked back to the motorcycle and attempted to make good his escape. However, the Pembroke woman took her handbag back and a struggle ensued. The offender eventually let go of the handbag when she started screaming and made good his escape.

Additionally, we urge those traveling in cars to use their seatbelts at all times and make sure any children traveling in the vehicle are appropriately restrained. Vehicle Fire - Around 3:35 this morning, Police received a report of a vehicle fire on Union Street in Pembroke. It appears that two motorcycles were extensively damaged by the blaze while a taxi received rear end smoke damage. An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway; arson has not been ruled out. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information about this incident to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.
Injury RTC
Injury RTC - Around 1:25pm today, Police received a report of a road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Smith’s parish near the junction with Store Hill. Details about what occurred are unclear at this time; however it appears that a truck overturned. As a result there were traffic delays in the area; however the vehicle involved was subsequently removed from the scene and normal traffic flow resumed. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Marine Theft - Around 9pm on Wednesday, Police received a report of a marine theft. The complainant stated that his white 17 ft. Boston Whaler was removed from the Red Hole, Paget area. The vessel, registration #343, was last seen sometime between 9am and 8:30pm that day and is fitted with a 40 hp Yamaha outboard engine. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of this vessel is encouraged to contact the Marine Police Unit on 299-4585.
Burglary
Update: Assault at Berkeley Institute - The two 16 year old male students involved in an incident at The Berkeley Institute around 1:50pm Tuesday were treated at the hospital for their injuries, released and subsequently arrested; one for wounding and the other on suspicion of possessing a controlled drug. Both young men have been bailed pending further investigations. Inquiries into the matter are ongoing.
